Messenger Mass
On Sunday, October 6, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., a special event took place at the Shrine of St. Michael the Archangel and Blessed Bronisław Markiewicz in Miejsce Piastowe: a Mass of Sending, during which Fr. Piotr Dąbrowski, CSMA, and Fr. Paweł Zagórski, CSMA, were sent on mission to Zambia on behalf of the Congregation and the Church. This joyful celebration was presided over by Father General Dariusz Wilk, CSMA, and the homily was given by General Councilor Fr. Marcin Kałwik. Also present at the Eucharist were Fr. Leszek Przybylski, General Councilor; Fr. Jerzy Sosiński, General Treasurer; Fr. Tadeusz Musz, Superior of the religious house; other confreres from the Mother House; and the families of our missionaries. "In the Church, no one is or can be alone, which is why Jesus sends them out two by two. In this way, the apostles can support each other. Fr. Piotr and Fr. Paweł, you are not alone in your mission. You have each other, but also the support of the entire Michalite community. Know, brothers, that from today, when the call resounds in our religious prayers:¨NBSP; *let us pray for our confreres who proclaim Christ among different nations...* all Michaelites, Michaelite Sisters, but also the Worshipers and Knights of St. Michael the Archangel will pray for you. Remember, you are never alone," said Fr. Marcin in his homily. After the prayer after Communion, the Superior General presented the new missionaries with a missionary cross, which is a sign of God's love for every human being and, at the same time, a sign of the Church's mission to share this love with people all over the world. From now on, the missionary cross will accompany the missionaries wherever they are sent. This special blessing will accompany them especially in Zambia, where the Congregation of St. Michael the Archangel will begin its ministry in November 2024.
